How does the billing work?

We charge you only for what you use. Pay $10/mo for our all-in-one marketing hub, then choose per message pricing, or a low, flat rate for unlimited messaging. For unlimited pricing, you’re charged only for the subscribers in your account on your billing day.

When will I be billed?

You pay $10 on the day you sign up (this date is now your monthly billing date). Your monthly bill includes your $10 marketing hub fee + usage fees for the previous month, if applicable. You can always view your current account usage and balance under Your Account. If you cancel, you are responsible for any messaging fees for the previous month. But why on earth would you cancel??

What plan is right for me?

Per-message plans are great for high-volume senders who send less frequently, companies experiencing rapid list growth, seasonal businesses, and companies who are experimenting with adding SMS to their marketing capacity but haven't yet built a large list of SMS subscribers. Flat rate plans are great for businesses who want to manage their monthly marketing budget and prefer to not have limits on the number of messages they send.

What happens if I add subscribers on the per-message plan?

You pay only for the number of messages you send. If you add subscribers, the next time you send, you'll pay a per-message fee for each message sent.

What happens if I add subscribers on the flat rate plan?

If you reach a new subscriber tier, we'll notify you of the change in your billing plan that will be reflected on your next bill.

I don't plan on using text / email. How do I avoid getting charged?

Simple: sign up for per message pricing for the channel you will not use. If you ever want to try it out, you've got 200 text messages and 1,000 emails free each month.

Why do you offer a per-message plan?

We believe you should only have to pay for the number of emails or text messages you actually send. If you send a higher volume of messages less frequently, on many of our competitors' plans you'll be paying much more just to maintain a monthly account.

Can I change or cancel plans at any time?

Yes. Online plans have no term commitments.

What happens if I change plans mid-month?

All plan changes take effect at the end of your billing cycle.

Am I billed for my total number of subscribers, or just the ones I have for each channel?

You pay separate rates for email and text messaging, and will never pay an aggregate fee for all subscribers. If you have 10 email subscribers and 500 text subscribers, you pay $0 for email, and $30 for text subscribers.

What support do you provide?

All Signal customers can utilize our knowledge base, and all customers receive email support within 24 hours.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept online credit card payments and support MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

Simply sign up and test for 30 days (no credit card required). There are no restrictions on social marketing, but any SMS or email messages sent will be labeled as a test.

Which countries do you provide short code support for?

Signal provides out of the box support for two-way short code messaging in the United States and Canada and is actively evaluating additional countries to launch service in. If you're interested in using Signal in your country, please give us a heads up by sending an email to support@signalhq.com.
