Software Security
We employ multiple monitoring systems to watch Signal. Our technology utilizes proven security procedures such as the use of SSL certificates, machine access controls, and VPN, among others. We continue to setup a wide range of monitoring solutions for preventing and eliminating attacks to the site.
Credit Card Safety
When you sign up for a paid account on Signal, we do not store any of your card information on our servers. It’s handed off to Chase Paymentech Services , and Authorize.net, two companies dedicated to storing your sensitive data on PCI-Compliant servers.
Backups
We have redundant hardware for all parts of our system, so we can fail over to a backup machine in the event that the primary machine dies. All our hardware is backed up by Rackspace daily. Rackspace manages offsite backups of those machines.
Login Attempts
We protect your login from brute force attacks by locking them after 20 failed login attempts. All passwords are filtered from all our logs and encrypted. Login information is always sent over SSL.
